Test and live
Two modes. The API key decides which.
Test keys always use ZopPay’s built-in test gateway, so you can try everything without moving real money. Live keys use the gateway you connected.

Test mode is free and needs no gateway. Create a test key on the API keys page to try the API. A key only ever sees payments of its own mode.

Test payments without code
Use “Create test payment” on the Payments page to see the checkout and your webhooks before anything is built.
A go-live checklist
Accept the terms, add your billing details and connect a live gateway. Your account goes live as soon as all three are done.
Reports to download
Download your payments and refunds for any dates as a CSV file, to open in a spreadsheet or send to your accountant.
Your own domain
Serve the API and checkout from a domain of your own, set in Settings. Our team finishes the DNS set-up with you.

Logins and support.
- One login per account for now. You can’t invite team members or give them different roles yet.
- Sign in with Google, or with an email and password.
- Our support team works from its own console with the same payment, refund and webhook records, so you don’t need to send screenshots. Staff access is logged.
