What to expect
How PayPal works on ZopPay.
How your customer pays
Your customer is sent straight to PayPal’s secure payment page, pays there, and comes back to your website.
Payment methods
PayPal balance or cards, as your PayPal account allows.
Refunds
Refund all or part of a payment from your dashboard. The money goes back through PayPal, even if you have since switched to another gateway.
Stuck payments
If a payment stays pending, ZopPay asks PayPal for its real status every few minutes, for up to 7 days, and updates it for you.
Payout matching
Every day, ZopPay reads PayPal’s settlement report and matches it against your payments. Matched payments are marked as reconciled in your dashboard. If something doesn’t match, the ZopPay team looks into it.
Your money
With your own PayPal account, PayPal pays the money into your bank on its usual schedule. ZopPay never holds it.
Getting connected
Connect PayPal. Three steps.
01
Have a PayPal account
Your contract and rates stay with PayPal. PayPal may need to approve your business before you can take live payments.
02
Add your keys
Copy your keys from PayPal’s dashboard into the Gateways page of your ZopPay dashboard. ZopPay checks they are complete and in the right format, then stores them encrypted.
03
Turn it on
Turn PayPal on for a currency, and new payments in that currency go to PayPal. You go live once you have also accepted the terms and added your billing details.
